How stories get in

1. We watch where real people share real wins: conservation groups, patient communities, rescue organizations, local newsrooms.
2. Every story is verified against a primary source before it is written.
3. Anything ambiguous, mixed, or grim framed with a smile is replaced — never reframed.
4. What we cannot verify stays labeled on the page, in a section called “What we’re still watching.”
