How we verify

Trust is the product. Here is the process, in plain language.

Two tiers, no exceptions

• Tier 1: a primary source (agency release, published paper, official data) plus real circulation across two or more social platforms.
• Tier 2: a primary source plus one strong layer of social or community evidence.

Stories that cannot clear Tier 2 are held back until they can. They are never published on a single source alone.

Replace, never reframe

If a story turns ambiguous or mixed-negative during verification, we replace it with a genuinely positive one. We do not wrap bad news in a smile.

Unverified stays labeled

Every story page carries a “What we’re still watching” section for facts we could not confirm. Unknown dates stay unknown; no invented quotes, figures, or dates — ever.

Photos

Every photo is real and attributable. Where a photo illustrates the topic rather than showing the exact subject of the story, the caption says so.

A note on the archive

The Weekly Pulse archive — 52 editions from September 2025 through September 2026 — was assembled at launch from a year of verified reporting: every story was researched and verified at launch, then filed under its archive week. Archive dates mark when a story entered the record, not the date of the underlying event.
